I bought this and it works great! All the buttons, and plugs are easily accessible. I mostly like it because. The Kindle DX stands up by it’s self. I often lay in bed while reading. I put a small pillow on my stomach. The Kindle stands by it’s self on top. I just tap the page turning button. I can read for hours with it. I would highly recommend, a cover that folds in this direction. Over a more traditional design. ( Then, sideways ) It’s way easier to angle the screen, to your desired angle for reading! I have purchased 3 diff protective covers from Amazon. For diff reasons. Outside/ backpack travel/ while reading. If I could only buy one? This would be it! My FAVORITE , by far overall!!! WORKS GREAT! Very versatile. . . . MY FAV. . . . .

When I ordered my new Kindle DX, I also purchased this wonderful cover through Amazon. It opens vertically and allows me to stand the DX on a table or lapdesk while I’m reading, almost like an easel. It also flips flat if I just want to rest it on my lap, and flips closed quickly if I’m in a hurry.
It has protection built in to the front cover which prevents damage to the DX screen. It also has pockets for a pen, and a few papers or cards, without adding much weight.
I was nervous about not ordering real leather, but was pleasantly surprised at the appearance. I highly recommend a cover like this for your DX.

The Kindle DX fits perfectly in here, has a few little sleeves so you can put, say note cards, or business cards in them, and also has a slot to put a normal size piece of paper in. The ONLY complaint I have, is to latch this shut, its a little tongue like thing that goes into a slot that is on the outter part of the case, and this tongue like latch, from being used to open and close it so much, is getting really weak and is hard to now get to push into the slot to latch it shut. I am not sure how to really make it better, snaps would be a pain, so I guess this is probably the better solution; just wished the material didn’t get so weak in just a week.

Easy to use, well-made of good materials. The ability to fold the cover back and use this cover as a bookstand is _fantastic_. I have no bad things to say.

When are the prices for these covers going to come down? Don’t waste your money on a genuine leather cover as it seems that there is literally no difference between the genuine and fake leather versions. Also, I don’t know whose idea it is but I purchased this for $29. 99 + $5 shipping and now it is $34. 99 + free super saver shipping. We are all just guinea pigs in a world of marketing. That being said, this is a decent cover. The inside is fake brushed suede, and there is a little tab you can fold in to keep your Kindle DX safe. It can still charge while in the case. Easy to take in and out. Overall a good purchase.
