I take my kindle everywhere. So I’m often at my local diner eating dinner while I read. The servers all recognize me and my kindle. So I was thrilled when someon came up with an idea for a covering to keep the kindle clean while I am out and about. My only problem is the plastic is a bid shiny and there is glare. It also does not lay perfectly flat so it’s a bit warped. I like the double zipper so I can reach in and turn it off or snooze it. Or plug in the power cord. I’m even glad the new design to the Kindle2 allows you to place the kindle face down so as to protect the screen while its in your purse or bag. All in all it’s a must have for any Kindle2 owner. And the colors are great! My Kindle1 version of a similar product only came in black.

I wanted something more than just a case–something that would protect my Kindle from water, food, sweat, etc. . . When I was first looking at available accessories/options, I read a review on here that suggested using a ziplock bag instead of buying the “Leisure Kindle jacket”. It sounded like a great and inexpensive idea. So I gave it a shot. But after a week, I decided I needed something more durable and bought the Leisure Kindle jacket. I am so happy I did. Yes it is more expensive than a ziplock bag, but it’s also much more protective. I take my Kindle everywhere I go (in my purse or tote bag) and needed a *structured* protective layer. A ziplock bag is fine as a temporary solution, but for the long run, I recommend this.

This particular Kindle cover is perfect for people who want to use their Kindle in the kitchen (downloaded a cook book), read while their eating lunch, taking to the beach on vacation or any everyday use where you think your Kindle needs protection from liquids, sand, etc. The clear cover allows you to see your Kindle screen, use all the controls effortlessly, but have peace of mind that your investment is protected.

This is one of two covers that I have purchased. This one has more protection that the other one (Halsea by M-Edge) and will be perfect to take to outdoor events (such as baseball practices). Will keep my Kindle dust-free! Good quality, well made. Good stuff.

Great cover to protect from elements. The extra padding is good if you were worried about dropping the kindle. I would prefer the extra padding wasn’t there to cut down on the size. Other than that it’s great. Plan to use more in spring to fall when I’ll be outside.
